--------------------------------
Camera is a simple application for retrieving images
from a digital camera. It supports a limited set of
cameras, all based on the same chipset. I would like
to thank Eugene Crosser for documenting the protocol
used by these cameras.

The cameras supported are listed below. If you don't
see your camera listed, try it anyhow - who knows,
you may get lucky. Note that most of these are
untested. The only one I have personally seen work
is the Nikon Coolpix 900. I would appreciate feedback
as to which cameras do and do not work.

Agfa: ePhoto cameras
Epson: PhotoPC series
Olympus: various models?
Sanyo: VPC-G200/G200EX, DSC-X300
Nikon: Coolpix 900, Coolpix 600
Sierra Imaging: SD640
Toshiba: PDR-2

Usage
--------------------------------
Camera is very simple - you may not even need to read this...

If you're still reading, double-click Camera to launch it.
In the top left corner, choose the serial port your camera is
connected to and the communications speed you want.
(I usually use the highest speed setting, but if you have
problems, try lowering the speed.) Make sure your camera is
on and click the Connect button.

If the application can communicate with your camera, you
should now see some information in the lower left corner:
make, model, version, and number of pictures taken. Also, the
right half of the Camera window will become enabled.

If your camera is compatible, you should now see a list of
pictures in the camera on the right. Select the pictures you're
interested in downloading, and click Save. Select the folder
you want to save to, and you're off. Use the Preview button
instead of Save if you want to download thumbnail images.
Click Delete All to erase all images on the camera.

Troubleshooting
--------------------------------
Because of a bug in BeOS regarding serial ports, it may be
necessary to quit and re-launch Camera to clear up problems.
If something doesn't seem to be working, try that. If it still
doesn't work, make sure your camera is supported.
