  Version UNIX-6.00 and WIN-2.00. Features about the same :-)

=======================================================================
Hello all. This is a quick readme file to go with release 6.00 of BD4.

This is a beta release, well sort of. It should work fine, but if there are
any problems please report them ASAP.

This new version will allow people to play offline. To do so you will need
a ticket which can be obtained online from the web pages or in the game.

For getting tickets from the web page use:

http://ciips.ee.uwa.edu.au/~williams/bd4/offline which there will soon be a
link to.

To play the normal game just follow old instructions. For new features follow
the quick help below.

UNIX players
~~~~~~~~~~~~
** you will also need the new graphics file called "gfx2" in the data direcory
To play a level editor made level:
  bd4 -l 304  name pass
Here, the level id is 304 and the name/password are for the editor levels. You
will need to create a new player for these (different from your normal player,
although you can use the same name and password if you like).
To play offline use these:
  bd4 -g name pass [level]     ## get a ticket     (checkout)
  bd4 -u                       ## upload a ticket  (checkin) may take a minute
  bd4 -o name pass [level]     ## play from a ticket
By default the ticket called "./ticket" (i.e. in the current directory) will
be used. Use the flags -T, -U and -O to use a different ticket name (I think!)
PC Players
~~~~~~~~~~
To play edited levels etc .. use the buttons on the load player or new player
dialogs.

To play offline get a ticket from the web or in the game. The ticket will be
named bd4.tik (not bd4.tik.html or bd4.tik.txt). When in the game you
will be able to use the 'ticket manager' to checkout tickets and check them
back in. It is not the most user friendly system, but will allow you to
play the game without being connected to the internet for long periods of
time.

That's all, all the best.
