Civilization: Call to Power 1.24
Full, patched version.

This game was ported to BeOS by John Fehr of Wildcard Design, Inc., and released it in mid-2000. Since it's not longer being sold (Poor sales of this game led to Wildcard Design going bankrupt), copying and playing it doesn't deprive JF of any income anymore. I'm sure if JF was legally able to, he would have released all the games he ported into the public domain, but since he's was not, I've managed to come up with a small complete english distribution. I'm fairly certain JF would be happy that all of his hard work is not going to waste, so enjoy his efforts!

If you'd like to show your appreciation for everything he's ported to the BeOS, you can donate some money to his bike fund (one of the things he had to sell to pay for Wildcard Design expenses) paypal account, johnsbikefund@home.com. If you give a reason for the donation, put something like 'For all your hard work porting games to the BeOS'. (Because lawyers, rather like monkeys, are bad people, and if you say its for a certain game even if its not being sold, John will probably get a couple of them on his back.) If you don't want to, I'm sure he'd appreciate a little thank you note for his work as well. (And if you send it to johnsbikefund@home.com, he'll probably see it quickest.. :)

This game requires about 270 MB when installed, and a bit more for save games.

Instructions to install & launch the game: First, unzip the CivCTP.zip file to an appropriate location, such as /boot/apps/. Then, open Terminal, change to the /boot/apps/CivCTP/ folder, and run the PlayCiv.sh script file. This file mounts the CCTP.iso file (to /CCTP) and launches the Civilization: Call to Power executable. You can open the PlayCiv.sh file in StyledEdit if you would like to have one-click access to the game (instructions for this are provided within the file).
