StickIt!

--------------------------------
Stick it is a computerized version of PostIt Notes
(very similar to the Macintosh program Stickies).
I needed to take a break from some overly serious
work, so I whipped this up. But as I was working
on it, I thought BeOS - Media OS: these should be
Media sticky notes, not just text. It might be cool
to store images, sounds clips, etc. on sticky notes.
Well, maybe for version 2...

Just run StickIt, and you'll get some simple instructions.
When you quit StickIt, any open windows are saved for the
next time you start it up (they'll show up in the same
workspace you left them in).

You might want to add StickIt to your UserBootscript so
that your notes come up every time you boot.

StickIt can also be used from the command line.
Example:
> StickIt "Add this note to my desktop"

(I have various scripts on my system that sometimes need
to leave me some results, and StickIt windows are a nice
way to leave something around until I'm ready to deal
with it.)

History:
1.02 - StickIt notes are now auto-saved periodically for
even better crash-protection
1.01 - Added a manual save option - hit <ALT>-S (still saves
automatically on shutdown, manual saving is good in case of
the elusive BeOS system crash)
1.0 - StickIt is now "shutdown-friendly"
1.0b2 - When opening saved notes in multiple workspaces,
StickIt doesn't actually switch to those workspaces.
1.0b1 - Initial Release.
